Whether you've been climbing indoors or are brand new to the sport, our Intro to Outdoor Rock Climbing course is designed to get you outside safely, confidently, and having fun. This is your gateway to the world of outdoor climbing, led by experienced instructors who know how to make learning exciting, approachable, and safe.
We’ll cover the essentials—how to use climbing gear, tie knots, belay, move efficiently on rock, and communicate with a partner. You’ll get hands-on experience in a beautiful, natural setting while learning to assess and manage risk the right way.
Our instructors are certified by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) and have current Wilderness Medical Training, so you can focus on learning and enjoying your day on the rock.

What do I need to bring?
We’ll provide all the technical climbing gear. You just need to bring comfortable clothing, sturdy shoes, water, snacks, and a sense of adventure. A full packing list will be sent after booking.
How long is the course?
This is a full-day course, typically running from around 9 AM to 4 PM. Times may vary slightly based on group size and location.

We guide in several top climbing areas in Western North Carolina. The specific location will be shared when you book, based on conditions and group needs.
